BT Sport - The Big Match Revisited
|
Anyone watching these? Great re-run of the show from 1977. We've featured heavily recently ...
Losing to a soft pen at Spurs (CONN!) A great win at Highbury 2-3 with a Taylor diving header Losing 6-0 at Sunderland (piss poor defending) And today- a 2-2 home to Everton
Love the theme tune, grounds, kits, fans, players (all look so old)
And God I miss Brian Moore

Was watching a couple of these last week which concentrated on May 1977
Pleasure to see Spurs beaten 5-0 at Man City which virtually confirmed their relegation. Also they showed Bolton's last day game at home to already promoted Wolves in the second division. Bolton lost because of a dodgy disallowed goal and two GILT EDGED chances missed by centre half S ALLARDYCE. The result meant Nottingham Forest were promoted instead and the rest is HISTORY.
Never knew Fat Sam's part in one of the great stories of English football.
